1.1. Project Overview

The Universal Benefits Architecture (UBA) is a transformative project to establish a unified, secure, and digital platform for the efficient delivery of social welfare and financial aid in India. The platform is designed to connect Beneficiaries (individuals seeking aid) with Providers (organizations offering aid) through a single, seamless ecosystem. The core of this system is its integration with the UBI Network and its utilization of Verifiable Credentials (VCs) to automate document verification and streamline application processes. The project aims to combat the systemic inefficiencies that lead to the underutilization of benefits and the significant administrative burden currently faced by both user groups.
